Desert Nectar Honeyworks is a small, family-owned business created by Todd and Lora Ferrin in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Lora is a New Mexico native, Todd is from Colorado, and together we've made the NM high desert home. What started as a fascination with honey quickly became something much bigger: a love for the bees themselves, the landscapes that sustain them, and the incredible things that can be created from a simple, natural ingredient.

Today, Desert Nectar Honeyworks brings together small-batch honey, preserves, handcrafted goods, botanicals, and candles — all inspired by the flavors, colors, and character of the Southwest.

We're also growing apiaries of our own. But we're doing it on the bees' timeline, not ours. We believe their health and winter stores come before our harvest, so while our colonies become established, we proudly source honey from New Mexico beekeepers rather than taking honey our own bees may need.

For us, this business isn't simply about selling honey.

It's about knowing where our ingredients come from, supporting local agriculture and pollinators, creating things we're proud to put our name on, and building something meaningful here in New Mexico.
